Kalsium-43 kan vir resonansie gebruik word, maar dit het kernspin I=7/2 en 'n kwadrupool. Die resonansie kan nogtans taamlik smal wees. Die chemiese verskuiwing is egter taamlik klein en omdat dit 'n seldsame isotoop is, moet dikwels verryking aangewend word, wat duur is. Dit word soms in relaksasiestudies van binding van kalsium-ione aan proteïene gebruik.
Die aanwending in vastestof-KMR is nog in ontwikkeling, maar daar is kennis van die tensorelemente van die chemiese verskuiwing en kalsium se omringing is in 12 verbindings suksesvol gewys.
