ଜୀବବିଜ୍ଞାନ ପର୍ବ
ଜୀବବିଜ୍ଞାନରେ ପର୍ବ ହେଉଛି ବିଭାଗୀକରଣର ଏକ ସ୍ତର ଯାହା ସାମ୍ରାଜ୍ଯର ନିମ୍ନରେ ଓ ବର୍ଗର ଉପରେ ରହିଥାଏ। ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଭାବରେ ଉଦ୍ଭିଦବିଜ୍ଞାନରେ ଏହା ବଦଳରେ ବିଭାଗର ବହୁଳ ବ୍ଯବହାର ହୁଏ । କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନ୍ତର୍ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରୀୟ ଶୈବାଳ, କବକ ଓ ଉଦ୍ଭିଦ ନାମକରଣ ସୂତ୍ର ଏହି ପଦଦ୍ୱୟକୁ ସମଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଦେଖିଥାଏ । ସଜ୍ଞା ଆଧାରରେ ପ୍ରାଣୀସାମ୍ରାଜ୍ଯରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୩୫ଟି, ଉଦ୍ଭିଦସାମ୍ରାଜ୍ଯରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୪ଟି ଏବଂ କବକସାମ୍ରାଜ୍ଯରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୮ଟି ପର୍ବ ରହିଛି ।
ସାଧାରଣ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା
ପର୍ବର ଇଂରାଜୀ ପ୍ରତିଶବ୍ଦ "ଫାଇଲମ୍" (phylum), ପ୍ରଥମେ ୧୮୬୬ ମସିହାରେ ଅର୍ଣ୍ଣେଷ୍ଟ ହେକେଲଙ୍କଦ୍ୱାରା ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଏହା ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ ଭାଷାର ଫାଇଲୋନ୍ (φῦλον)ରୁ ଅଣାଯାଇଛି ଯାହାର ଅର୍ଥ ଜାତି । ହେକେଲ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ ଜାତିମାନେ କ୍ରମଶଃ ନୂଆ ନୂଆ ଜାତିରେ ବିବର୍ତ୍ତୀତ ହେଉଥାନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ନିଜର ପୂର୍ବଜଙ୍କ କିଛି ଗୁଣ ବଜାୟ ରଖିଥାନ୍ତି । ଏହି ଗୁଣାଧାରରେ ଅନେକ ପ୍ରକାରର ଜୀବମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଶ୍ରେଣୀଭୁକ୍ତ କରାଯାଇପାରିବ (ସ୍ୱାଧାରିତ ଏକକ) । "Wohl aber ist eine solche reale und vollkommen abgeschlossene Einheit die Summe aller Species, welche aus einer und derselben gemeinschaftlichen Stammform allmählig sich entwickelt haben, wie z. B. alle Wirbelthiere. Diese Summe nennen wir Stamm (Phylon)." ଅନୁବାଦ - କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହିପରି ବାସ୍ତବ ଏବଂ ସ୍ୱାଧାରିତ ଏକକ ହେଉଛି ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଜାତିମାନଙ୍କର ସମାହାର ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପୂର୍ବଜଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି, ଉଦାହରଣ ସ୍ବରୂପ - ସମସ୍ତ ମେରୁଦଣ୍ଡୀ । ଆମେ ଏହି ସମାହାରକୁ ଷ୍ଟାମ୍ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ପର୍ବ ବୋଲି ନାମିଥାଉ । ଉଦ୍ଭିଦ ବିଭାଗୀକରଣରେ ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ଏଇକ୍ଲର (୧୮୮୩) ଉଦ୍ଭିଦମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଞ୍ଚଟି ଶ୍ରେଣୀରେ ବିଭକ୍ତ କରିଥିଲେ, ଯାହା ଏବେ ମଧ୍ଯ ବହୁଳ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ । ଜୀବବୈଜ୍ଞାନୀୟ ପର୍ବର ସଜ୍ଞା ଛଅଟି ଲିନୀୟ ବର୍ଗରେ ବଦଳି ଯାଇଛି ।
