Dorah Sitole (24 September 1953 - 3 Januarie 2021) is die eerste swart vrou wat 'n kookboek geskryf het.
Sy was 'n corden bleu-sjef en kos- en lewensstylredakteur by die tydskrif True Love. Dorah is in die Shanty-kliniek in Soweto gebore. Haar boek Cooking from Cape to Cairo: A Taste of Africa wat na haar besoek aan 19 lande gepubliseer is, is bekroon met die Gourmand World Cookbook-prys vir beste Afrika-cuisine.
Sy het onlangs haar magnum opus gepubliseer, Dorah Sitole 40 Years of Iconics Food fokus op Afrika-geregte. Haar ontslape man, Archie, het die Engelse weergawe van Kook en Geniet van Ina de Villiers aan haar as geskenk gegee, haar eerste kookboek.
Sy sterf in Johannesburg aan covid-19. Sy word oorleef deur haar dogters, Ayanda, Phumzile, haar seun Sibusiso en sy vrou dr. Nonhlanhla Sitole en twee kleinkinders.
