Santu Mofokeng (19 Oktober 1956, Soweto – 26 Januarie 2020) was 'n fotograaf wat dokumentêre swart-en-wit-fotografie tot kunsvorm omgeskep het.
Sy werk het gefokus op aktiwiteite van mense in die townshipomgewing. Een van sy bekende werke is: The Drumming, Johannesburg-Soweto Line, from Train Church, 1986. Aanvanklik het hy nie sukses behaal in Suid-Afrika nie, maar nadat hy in Frankryk, Switserland, België en Amerika uitgestal het, het dit verbeter. Sy mentor was David Goldblatt. Mofokeng het aan die International Centre of Photography in New York gestudeer.
