Dhyana (Sanskrit) of jhana (Pali) beteken meditasie in Hindoeïsme, Boeddhisme en Djainisme.
In Boeddhisme is dit ’n reeks geestestoestande wat lei tot die "toestand van perfekte gelykmoedigheid en bewustheid" (upekkhii-sati-piirisuddhl).
Dit is ook in ander vorme van meditasie, soos joga, opgeneem.
In joga is dhyana die sewende stap op die agtvoudige pad (ashtanga yoga) uit die Jogasoetras van Patandjali. Die ander sewe stappe is: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana en samadhi.
