彈性,物體特性一種,抵抗外力變形,一無外力就回復原本大細同形狀。喺物理同物料科學,都屬於一門學問。同另一頂特性相反,叫塑性,因外力變形後,保持返變形。
唔同物料,彈性原理有異。五金彈性源於原子晶格,變形後失外力,回歸原本低能態。而橡膠同聚合物,就源於聚合鏈。
有所謂完美彈性,施力同變形距離成正比。之不過世上無完美,大多數彈性限於細範圍,太大力,變得太多,都會趨於塑性,會永久變形。
日常彈弓彈簧,以及橡筋之類,都展現彈性。磅同彈簧秤,就利用彈性得出重量。記憶物料用過亦會回復原狀。衣物好似襪咁,靠彈性,唔會着完一次就鬆晒。
