Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev (also romanized Mendeleyev or Mendeleef; Rọ́síà: Дми́трий Ива́нович Менделе́ев listen (ìrànwọ́·ìkéde)) (8 February 1834 – 2 February 1907), was a Russian chemist and inventor.
