Manilkara zapota is a fruit tree in the Sapotaceae family.
It is commonly known as the Sapodilla or Sapota. It is from southern Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. It is often grown for its fruit, which has a very malty and sweet flavor, and tastes like a pear.
