Edmund Burke: Anglo-Irish statesman, political theorist and conservative philosopher (1729–1797)
Edmund Burke (12 January 1729-9 July 1797) was an important Irish politician, and writer.
He became a member of the British Parliament with the Whigs in 1765.
Burke supported the American Revolution. He opposed the French Revolution for killing Catholics and other dissenters. His most famous book was Reflections on the Revolution in France, which created many of the ideas in conservatism.
