Imphal: Capital of the Indian state of Manipur

Imphal (Meitei: ꯏꯝꯐꯥꯜ, romanized: eem-phaal, Old Manipuri: ꯌꯨꯝꯐꯥꯜ, romanized: yoom-phaal (listen)) is the capital city of the Indian state of Manipur.

The ancient Kangla is in the heart of the city, which was the center of administration of many rulers in both Ancient Manipur as well as Medieval Manipur.
