(in Inglis) This is an online group who've gotten together to help improve Scots Wikipedia articles. We're going to edit over the course of two days: Sunday 30th & Monday 31st August.

If you're new to Wikipedia, we're going to have live online training (on Zoom), please sign yourself up for the relevant session through Eventbrite so we know who's coming. There's one at 11am - 12 noon, and one from 5pm-6pm, both on Sunday 30th. Scottish time. If you've got any questions, we'll have folk available on Discord (link below) to help answer them. We've put together a list of articles that we'd like to work on, which we'll start working on. We know that there's a lot of work to do - so if you'd like to add anything, please do.

We know that there's been a lot of interest in Scots wiki over the last few days, and we'd really like those people to stick around, and keep on editing.

We'd really like you to learn Scots if you're going to edit here, there's a free 10 hour course available here.

This event is open to everyone with an interest in making Scots Wikipedia better, if you're not a native/fluent speaker there are lots of things you can do to help, like adding categories, wikilinks, and infoboxes.

• Check that pages on sco.wikipedia are linked on the relevant wikidata entry. Doing this means, among a heap of other things, that the Scots page is offered in the 'Languages' section of other Wikipedia sites. • I've brought the Scottish Language Centre's gazetteer of placenames into a table, and I'm check if the stated Scots name is the main article title. If not (or some other action can be made to improve/fix I'm putting it in the notes. Some (such as page moves or redirects) can be done by non-Scots speakers.
