Anent Us

This time, we're giein "writin drives" a bash, whaur we'll hiv a week whaur we kin mak time tae scrieve fur the wiki ony time oothrou. Yese kin dae as little or as much as ye'd like.

We hiv group zoom sessions planned on certain days an aw.

(in Inglis) We're an online group that has formed to fix all of the bad Scots Wikipedia articles, help improve the quality of the Wiki.

This time, we're trying "writing drives", where we'll have a week where we can make time to write for the wiki any time throughout. You can write as little or as much as you'd like.

Please sign into the dashboard here to let us know that you're taking part.

Theme

(in Inglis) September is Wiki Loves Monuments, so let's focus on listed buildings & scheduled monuments in Scotland! We can also add images to articles - either ones that exist already on Wiki Commons, or maybe you'd like to take your own?

Zoom session

Normally we run x2 Zoom sessions in the writing drive weeks, but as this one is focussed on photos, this time we're doing one on the Thursday, and encouraging you to take photos of listed buildings & scheduled monuments in your area at another time in the week. On the Thursday, Sara can show you how to take part in the Wiki Loves Monuments campaign.

  • Tuesday - As we're editing about Listed Buildings & Scheduled Monuments in your area, instead of having a Zoom session on this evening, I'm encouraging you to go out and take pictures for the competition in this time! Then on Thursday, I can take you through how to upload images to Wiki Commons, and how to use images from the competition on Scots wiki. We'll also have time on Thursday to edit articles as usual.
  • Thursday - There's a zoom session planned for Thursday 8th September, 6pm-8pm Scottish time. You can register for a ticket on Eventbrite here. We'll be uploading images, and editing articles on Scots wiki.
