Chuck Domanico: Amerikansk musikar

januar">20. januar 1944–17. oktober 2002), betre kjend som Chuck Domanico, var ein USA-amerikansk jazzbassist som spelte kontrabass og bassgitar i West Coast jazz-miljøet.

Domanico vart fødd i Chicago, men flytta til Los Angeles i midten av 1960-åra. I nesten 40 år var han ein sentral person i jazzmiljøet i Hollywood og bidrog i mange filmar og TV-program. Domanico arbeidde med Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Carmen McRae, Joni Mitchell, Taj Mahal, Diane Schuur, Natalie Cole og The Manhattan Transfer. Han spelte på instrumentale jazzstykke av Chet Baker, Henry Mancini, Shelly Manne, Oliver Nelson, John Klemmer, Roger Kellaway, Barney Kessel og Art Pepper.

Ein kan høyre bassen hans i tema for fjernsynsshow som M*A*S*H, Cheers og Frasier, og han bidrog på musikk til meir enn to tusen filmar.

Domanico døydde av lungekreft i Los Angeles, 58 år gammal.
