Also, can you help with the translation of the interview questions (English to Mon) or do you know someone who can help with this. Also we'd like to look for someone who can help with the transcription and the translation of the interview content. We do have some budget from the Wiki Language Diversity Hub. I've shared my perspective in the discussion regarding the proposed changes for the language name and the alteration from င် to ၚ်. I support the idea of changing the language name to ဘာသာမန်, but I disagree with changing င် to ၚ်.
As for the suggestion to change the language of untranslated user interface messages from Burmese to English, I believe it's crucial to consider the primary users of Mon Wiki မန်. It seems unlikely that Thai Mon people from Thailand constitute the majority of our users. Instead, we may have Mon migrant workers from Burma working in Thailand as our primary users. Most of them likely have a better understanding of Burmese than English. Therefore, I suggest maintaining the use of Burmese for untranslated user interface messages, as it may be more beneficial for our user community.
