World Environment Day: United Nations day encouraging awareness and action for the environment

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on June 5.

On this day, people are supposed to do good things for the natural environment and sustainability. These acts help to protect nature and the planet Earth. It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
