The World Snooker Championship is a professional tournament an the offeecial world championship o the gemme o snooker. Foondit in the late 19t century bi British Army soldiers stationed in Indie, the sport wis popular in the British Isles. The qualifying roonds war played at the Preston Guild Hall frae 26 Mairch tae 4 Apryle 1987.
