Thomas Wolff ist der Sohn des DDR-Schauspielers Gerry Wolff. Ab 1970 war Thomas Wolff in DEFA-Filmproduktionen zu sehen. Als Synchronsprecher ist er vor allem für die Rolle des Captain „Hawkeye“ Pierce in der Serie M*A*S*H (gespielt von Alan Alda) bekannt. Außerdem synchronisierte er Danny Trejo, Michael Madsen und Steven Seagal.
