梅,木也,貌與杏相似。花開春冬之時,先於眾木,態雅且妍,甚香甚淸。梅有數種,而花色不一,以紅、白、綠者爲多。梅至夏則實,生者色青而味酸。色黃則熟矣,味甘酸,不宜多食。亦可入酒、曬乾、熬醬。梅花之香自苦寒中來,世人以其爲花中君子,文人好之,慕其清高。亦中華民國之國花也。
