Maekel Region
The Maekel Region (alternate spelling Maakel), kent as the Regione Centrale in italian, is ane o the sax regions o Eritrea.

Owerview
It is the smallest region in area, contains the major administration government office and with national capital, Asmara Maekel is situate inland, borders Anseba to the north-wast, the Northern Reid Sea region to the north-east, the Southern (Debub) region to the sooth, an Gash-Barka to the wast.
Hintle o the architecture in the region reflects Italian colonial influences.
