Cesar Chavez (born César Estrada Chávez, locally: ; Mairch 31, 1927 – Aprile 23, 1993) wis an American farmworker, labor leader an civil rights activist.
Chávez startit the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) along wi Dolores Huerta. He wantit equal rights for Mexicans workin in the Unitit States. This union became the Unitit Farm Workers. He led a boycott against grape companies to gain rights for workers. Chávez usit nonviolence to make these changes.
