Monobook-Suite, a tool originated in the Spanish Wikipedia by Axxgreazz.
  • Editing tools, tools intended to provide enhanced editing functionality. Contains edit page tools, edit bots, spellcheckers, wikisyntax conversion utilities, etc.
  • Browser tools, tools categorized by browser type
  • Citation tools, tools for citing and referencing
  • Anti-vandalism tools, tools for patrolling and cleaning up Wikipedia
  • Alternative browsing, alternatives to accessing Wikipedia through your web browser (mobile devices, desktop integration, alternate portals, etc.)
  • User Scripts, a collection of JavaScript routines that add functionality to Wikipedia pages (e.g., regex search and replace, changing article formatting, and simplifying common tasks)
  • Wikirage—What's hot in Wikipedia—This site lists the pages in Wikipedia that are receiving the most edits per unique editor over various periods of time
  • Igor—A wikiproject management tool. Allows a user to view and change the importance and class of articles tagged as part of a particular project. Development halted on Java version, and started on an online version.
  • Monobook-Suite, a tool originated in the Spanish Wikipedia by Axxgreazz.
  • MW - "VCS-like nonsense for MediaWiki websites" with status, pull, diff, commit, and merge.

  • Wiki Visual Search, An Internet Explorer "search provider" addon for searching Wiki ភាសាខ្មែរ.
  • Intropedia – iGoogle gadget for searching & viewing the introduction of wikipedia articles within the Google homepage
  • 1-Click Answers 2.0, Wikipedia Edition – look up a word in a Windows program by alt-clicking on it (created by Answers.com as a result of a partnership with the Wiki Foundation)
  • Cleeki – Cleeki is a Windows-based program for generic search purpose, but particularly optimized for Wiki ភាសាខ្មែរ. In Cleeki with one click you can grab keywords anywhere on your screen from virtually any applications and get multiple relevant Wikipedia results immediately.
  • Wikiseek – Search Wikipedia and external links
  • WikiProjects – WikiBrowse for Windows
  • Search Wikipedia with Clusty – Clusters results on the fly

  • GlobalWPSearch – search across projects and show missing interlanguage links.

Google tools

  • Wiki and other Wiki sites on your iGoogle startpage Wiki Gadget
  • Mirrors of Wiki content can be filtered from Google search result pages in Firefox using the CustomizeGoogle extension. See meta:Mirror filter for instructions and a filter list.
  • Placeopedia (dead link as of Mars 2011) Provides a means by which Google map markers can be linked directly to Wikipedia articles.
  • Google Web Accelerator should not be used for Wikipedia (that is, it should be disabled for the wikipedia.org domain. For details, see Wikipedia:Google Web Accelerator.
  • {{Cite}} format generator – Google Scholar search with {{cite}} filler (dead link, May 2011)
  • Wikivision (designed by László Kozma) visualizes recent anonymous edits using Google Maps.

    General:
  • Wiki: WikiProject User scripts/Scripts/HistoryCount – user script that specifies the number of history entries on the history tab (without the script, 50 entries are shown when the tab is opened)
  • Wiki: WikiProject User scripts/Scripts/Six tabs – adds a history tab (and an edit tab) for the page that is paired with the page that is visible
  • User:Ixfd64/revision sizes – revision size visualizer written in R
  • [១] - shows how many people watch a page (if more than 30)

    Diffs:
  • User:Superm401/Compare link.js – makes the "compare selected versions" button into a link (diffs can be in new windows, tabs, etc.)
  • Wiki: WikiProject User scripts/Scripts/Changes since I last edited – adds a tab that does a diff between the editor's last edit and the current version of a page
  • MediaWiki talk:Monobook.css/Archive 4#Better rendering for .diffchange in diffs
  • User:Cacycle/wikEdDiff – user script – additions and deletions are highlighted by color in one continuous text
  • User:Stevage/EnhanceHistory.user.js – Collapses consecutive edits from the same person into one, integrates (shows) diffs on the history page
    Finding the responsible editor:
  • WikiBlame – searches for given text in versions of article
  • Soxred93's Article Blamer – similar to WikiBlame, identifies revisions that added given text
  • User:AmiDaniel/WhodunitQuery – Windows application that identifies the edit and user who added a specific word or phrase
    Contributor edit counts and analysis:
  • userhist – user script, adds interface elements for isolating a user's changes to a page.
  • Contributors – lists edits, similar to page history, but can be sorted by contributor; easy to exclude different groups
  • Per-page contributions – finds all the edits by a user to a single page
  • Page history statistics by user:aka – builds an edit history overview page
  • Intersect Contribs – compares the edits of two editors in any Wiki Foundation wiki to see which articles overlap
  • Wikistalk – similar to Intersect Contribs, allows comparisons between more than two users and namespace selection, works only on the English Wikipedia

  • X!'s new edit counter Also works on editors with over 750000 edits. Also replicates the months graph of Interiot's tool.
  • Administrator Statistics for the English Wikipedia (updated hourly)
  • User contributions (Luxo) – find contributions on enwiki and other Wiki sites
  • dbswithuser – user data with edit counts (including deleted edits) of a user name in all replicated wikis of the Toolserver
  • Nubio is a repository for frequently asked questions. Also contains an edit counter, and a tracker of user registrations. (potentially broken: 403 error encountered: "User account expired")
  • Efficient Query API based edit counter (broken?)

IRC

Importing (converting) content to Wikipedia (MediaWiki) format

    Microsoft Word:
  • mw:Extension:Word2MediaWikiPlus – a tool that converts Microsoft Word documents to MediaWiki
  • wikEd – a full-featured in-browser text editor for Wikipedia edit pages that can convert text and tables pasted from Microsoft Word with a button click
  • meta:Word_macros – Visual Basic macros to use within Microsoft Word to prepare content to be pasted into a Wikipedia page
  • OpenOffice 2.3 can open Word files and export to MediaWiki format.
