It is a Swedish small crossover SUV, and is the smallest gas-powered crossover from Volvo, below the XC60. It was shown to the public on September 2017, and you could start ordering one in November 2017. The XC40 was made for small places like urban areas, or cities.
The XC40 is mainly sold in Europe, U.S., China, and Australia, but it sells the best in Europe. The XC40 was designed by Thomas Ingenlath, and its concept was called ‘Volvo Concept 40.1’. There is also a fully electric one called the ‘Volvo XC40 Recharge’.
In 2022, the XC40 had gotten redone headlights.
