Urmia: City in West Azerbaijan Province, Iran

Urmia (Persian: ارومیه) is a city in Iran.

It is the capital of the West Azerbaijan province. In 2016, 736,224 people lived there. Lake Urmia, the second largest salt lake in the world. The majority of the city's people are Armenians, Assyrians, Azerbaijanis, Kurds and Persians.
