Joseph Heller: American writer

Joseph Heller (May 1, 1923 - December 12, 1999) was an American novelist and playwright.

He was born in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York City. He was most famous for the satirical war novel Catch-22 (1961). He died of a heart attack in East Hampton, Long Island, New York.
