Doyle F.
Brunson (August 10, 1933 – May 14, 2023) was an American poker player from the U.S. state of Texas. He is sometimes called by his nickname, Dolly. He was active as a child. He played basketball for a short time but while in a factory he by mistake broke his leg. Then he chose to play poker. In 1976 he won the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. His winning hand was a ten and a two. In 1977 he won the Main Event again with the same hand and in 1980 he took second place at Main Event. He had ten World Series of Poker bracelets and held one World Poker Tour title.
Brunson died in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 14, 2023, at the age of 89.
