Alves Barbosa: Portuguese road bicycle racer (1931–2018)

Alves Barbosa (24 December 1931 – 29 September 2018) was a Portuguese professional road cyclist.

He won the Volta a Portugal in 1951, 1956 and 1958, placing third in 1955, and rode the Tour de France from 1956 until 1958 and again in 1960. He was born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal.
