Alka Yagnik (born 20 March 1966) is an Indian singer.
She was born in Kolkata, India. She has received seven Filmfare Awards and two National Film Awards.

She began her music career in 1979. Her first breakthrough came in 1988 when music directors, Laxmikant-Pyarelal gave her chance to sing for Tezaab. She sang "Ek Do Teen" which became hit that year, she also won her first award for that song. She was popular from early 90s until mid 2000s. She often sang duet songs with fellow singers, Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu.
