Alfonso Cuarón Orozco (Spanish pronunciation: ; born 28 November 1961) is a Mexican movie director, screenwriter, producer and editor.
He is best known for his movies A Little Princess (1995), Y tu mamá también (2001), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Children of Men (2006), Gravity (2013), which earned him an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award and Roma.

Cuarón is also close friends with fellow Mexican filmmakers Guillermo del Toro and Alejandro G. Iñárritu. The group is sometimes known as "The Three Amigos of Cinema".
