Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
Modern uses
- In mathematics, Georg Cantor decided to use alephs to determine the cardinality of infinite sets. These are called aleph numbers, with some of the most notable ones being aleph null (
) and aleph one (
).
