Joseph John Thomson
Joseph John Thomson (18 de decembre 1856 – 30 de augusto 1940) esseva un physico anglese e le discopertor del electron.
Vita e obras
Thomson nasceva proxime a Manchester, Anglaterra. Su patre moriva quando Thomson habeva solmente dece-sex annos. Le juvene Thomson attendeva le Collegio Owens in Manchester, ubi su professor de mathematica le incoragiava a sollicitar un bursa scholar in le Collegio Trinity, un del collegios le plus prestigiose in le Universitate de Cambridge. Thomson ganiava le bursa scholar e, in 1880, finiva secunde in le classe, post Joseph Larmor, in le penose examination de graduation in mathematica.
