Shortcuts WP:WPINDEXES WP:WPINDICES

This page and its subpages contain suggestions and other resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the work. If you would like to help, please add yourself as a participant in the project, inquire on the talk page, and see the Tasks list, below.

• For the current alphabetical indexes on Wikipedia, see and Wiki: Contents/Indices and Category:Wikipedia indexes.

• Or, go to the following templates and click "What links here" on the toolbox menu on the sidebar on the left side of the screen: Template:compactTOC8

• Develop and maintain alphabetical index articles on Wiki English.
• Develop standards for indexes in the encyclopedia.

• This project covers all alphabetical index articles on Wikipedia, and all links leading to them.

Here are some tasks awaiting attention: Expand : Index of dance articles

Add links to all indexes to the index list

The index list is at Wiki: Contents/Indices.

Fix tables of contents

Many index pages have sections that don't show up on their tables of contents (TOCs).

These need to be fixed using a TOC template. {{Compact TOC}} works great for this.

The hunt for index pages that aren't called "Index of"

They hide in two ways:

1. By not being included in Wiki: Contents/Indices, or
2. By not having "Index of" in their titles

When you find them, please add them to the list below.
