Hello,
When will there be a 'Final standings' chart for this tournament? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16B8:F16:3B00:1018:4DB1:533D:19BB (talk) 11:35, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
What are Final standings good for? You know which team came how far! If a team lost in the last 16, it's completely irrelevant whether it's 9th or 16th!--Anaxagoras13 (talk) 09:06, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Can Wikipedia's users fix this on other tournament pages too? (Copa America, Afcon etc.) It's literally made up on the spot to rank the teams this way, you don't get points for knockout games and there's no purpose to tiebreaking the teams between 5th and 8th as if they get some sort of different award for this. The authorities don't do this, and you never hear managers say "I'm glad we finished 12th at the world cup by scoring more goals in the group than Sweden". The only argument put forward for having these tables is that it exists on other pages, and thus we are therefore obligated to repeat this mistake. Whatever next, adding ranking tables to FA Cup seasons so the teams eliminated in the fourth round are ordered by how many goals they scored in preceding rounds? It doesn't do the site's reputation any good to literally make your own rules for someone else's tournament — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C5:E1AB:4500:147E:C195:4EA6:7CC2 (talk) 16:07, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
There's not oficial final standing yet for this tournament? Alfredmaldo (talk) 19:32, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
Well, let’s have the unofficial final standings for the record here on the talk page for now then (there’s no harm in that, is there?):
Well, how about at least having a table prepared when they are ready? KyuuA4 (Talk:キュウ) 07:43, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

Someone has edited the brackets to portray brazil as winning the WC rather than france User:Monziguazini (talk) 17:57, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
nvm, fixed now User:Monziguazini (talk) 23:24, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
Italy was the champion in 1934. And in 1938 got his second title. The data is wrong. 186.11.112.23 (talk) 14:50, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
