Welcome edit

Hello! Thank you for your very useful updates on articles. Welcome to Wiki Travel. I hope that you'll keep sharing information with fellow travellers through this project.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines, style, and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, post a question in the Arrivals lounge.

Wiki Travel doesn't use "12PM" and "12AM" because they can be confusing: some people use them to mean "noon" and "midnight", while other people use them to mean "midnight " and "noon". This is set out in our style guide, WV:time. Please try to keep this in mind.

Also, Wiki Travel sorts restaurants, bars and hotels under these sub-headings: Budget, Mid-range, and Splurge. Wiki Travel doesn't use codes like "₱₱₱".

Please try to follow Wiki Travel style as much as possible do that other editors don't have to spend time cleaning up after you. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 12:11, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

If there is something about Wiki Travel formatting style that you don't understand, please ask. It seems that you are determined to follow your own style instead of the style that the Wiki Travel community has chosen. Please st doing that. It just makes extra work for other contributors. Also, when you give a URL please delete the tracking stuff that various web sites add, basically everything after a question mark. Pashley (talk) 01:43, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Wiki Travel doesn't use codes like "₱₱" to indicate price, because they will mean different things to different people. Wiki Travel uses actual prices insread. I will keep removing them when you add them. You can save us both some time by not putting "₱₱" into listings. Ground Zero (talk) 06:52, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

What do you mean by "12AM"? edit

Thank you again for the work you are doing to expand Philippines articles.

You still using "12AM" a lot. Do you mean "noon" or "midnight"? It is confusing because some people use it to mean noon, and others to mean midnight. I want to correct it to avoid confusing readers, but I want to be sure that I am not guessing wrong when I edit to correct your work.

Is ThisisEarl's Food & Whatnot open from noon-7PM, or midnight-7PM? Is Jaba open from 4PM-midnight, of 4PM-noon? You used 12AM in both of these listings: it looks like you use it to mean noon for ThisisEarl's and to Jean midnight for Jaba.

It would be easier if you would stop using this confusing notation, and just use "noon" or "midnight" so your meaning is clear. Ground Zero (talk) 19:58, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
