requests For Adminship/Shappy

Nomination by RyanCross (talk · contribs): Hello, I am nominating Shappy (talk · contribs), a helpful and dedicated contributer to Simple English Wikipedia for adminship. I believe Shappy has improved quite a bit since his last RfA, and he has expanded his work in several areas, just enough for another chance at RfA.

Shappy has been participating in adminly areas. This includes the over 50 accurate WP:QD requests he has done, his help in reverting vandalism, the WP:VIP reports he has done (I admit not many, but I assume this isn't his main area), comments at places such as WP:AN and WP:ST (which seems like he works well with others as he is civil), and more. He has over 1500 quality edits. I consider this a high total already, as users have passed RfAs with lower edits. Out of these edits, 31% are in the mainspace (including a WP:GA, Avril Lavigne), and 24% are in the projectspace. He started editing actively in July 2008, but has mentioned he took several short breaks to stay cool, which I think is fine... you wouldn't want to over work yourself, and we all know there's a thing called "real life" that should always be first in our lives. Anyway, these qualities is what I look for as in an administrator, and I believe Shappy is right for the job.

We could always use the extra help, and I think Shappy can fill in for that. We need all the help we can get. I always thought the more administrators there are, the better. I also believe it doesn't matter how much an admin does, but if that person is doing the job right. Shappy has shown he knows what he is doing, and I believe he would know what to do if given the admin tools. Each and every new member to the admin team is another plus for our community. Or in other words, each new seed in the soil is another flower in our forest. And yes, it takes time for a seed to grow, and I believe Shappy has grown into a flower (his name sure does sounds like one anyway!). So after all I have said, I proudly nominate Shappy for adminship.

Candidate's acceptance: I accept and graciously thank RyanCross for the nomination. I've made a few mistakes, but we're all human and it's natural. I won't delete the Main Page, and I know how to properly use the block, delete and protect tools.    Soup Dish, I would prefer you not stereotyping all users who have made mistakes in that particular area. I was unblocked a year ago, and I am far removed from that incident. I am not CM16, and it is pretty irritating for a user who has worked hard to regain lost trust to be told such.
