Hello, Brother. There's something I didn't understand it well. In en:wiki, they wrote: In 2007 Forbes magazine ranked her as the 38th most powerful woman in the world. In simple:wiki, they wrote: As of 2006, she is ranked by Forbes magazine as the 20th most powerful woman in the world. So please can explain it? It's just make an analysis only, check it out. Cheers.....--≈ RecorDprodUceR (talk) 13:38, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Are you there?--≈ RecorDprodUceR (talk) 13:30, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
En:wiki, their some times up dated-some time not. There's certain article I found it in en:wiki and simple wiki, but en:wiki was not up dated, and simple were alreday be up dated!! What do you think? The article was Auckland Grammar School, see also in en:wiki:Auckland Grammar School. I translate this article to my local Wiki (sw:wiki) and I found it two pla ces, so who is correct? Cheers...--≈ RecorDprodUceR (talk) 14:07, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
I answer to your message : if you have time, is it possible that you take a look to what I have added to Philosophy of science ? My english is very basic, and I don't know if what I try to write is correct. Thanks. Alfred (talk) 10:51, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Please be careful with ViP reports. Not only is this IP a school user but they did not vandalise after a last warning. Tygrrr gave them a different warning as activity had been quiet for several days.--Bärliner 17:36, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Sure! What does subst do? SwirlBoy39 (talk) 21:21, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
A template gives a link to the template. subst:template prints what the template says on that page. It saves server resources for warnings etc that will not be updated--Bärliner 21:26, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

The otheruses made no sense. If there is a dismbiguation page ready, then say something like Bamberg in Bavaria|otheruses|Bamberg (disamb) Just to say this article is about Bamberg, for other uses see Bamberg disambig makes no real sense. Agree?
I have no idea whether this is a cache problem or not. I recently changed a template. I should now have Regierungsbezirk Dresden in cat:government regions in Saxony, which is a subcat of cat:government regions in Germany. Can you look at Regierungsbezirk Dresden at see if it really is in those categories. Thanks. --Bärliner 16:28, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

I just undid your change but inadvertently did leave an explanation. "Vasari's Lives" is the shortened form of the title of a book. It isn't a quotation, but it does need parenthesis. Amandajm (talk) 09:25, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Razorflame, your tag about the language used in that article is nonsense. When you say that it is almost a paste it indicates that you obviously haven't read either of them. I am the author of the wikipedia article, and I editted the Simple wiki article so that your average 12 yr old can read in. In otherwords, I broke it into shorter sentences, rearranged those sentences that had a complex form to direct speech, and explained words like "beatification" by putting them into a context like "he is on his way to becoming a saint". Every single sentence of the article has been reconsidered and reworked. The SimpleWiki article is also a great deal shorter than the original.
I'm removing the tag, because I consider it inappropriate. Amandajm (talk) 04:53, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
NOTE:
NOTE:
I won't bother to go on.... The entire article has been adated for SimpleWiki in the same manner. Amandajm (talk) 05:18, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Razorflame, there is a common misconception at this site about what constitutes "Simple English". This misconception results in some appallingly stupid and convoluted sentence constructions from people who are trying to reduce everything to words of one syllable.
Part of the art of writing Simple English is to construct clear, grammatically correct sentences. For maximum simplicity, the sentences should have the subject and verb in that order. And the time frame at the beginning rather than the end. eg:
Secondly, what type of words are actually in the Simple English vocabulary? From the "a" list:
And from the International list we add:
Words like "apparatus", "authority" and "attempt" are not easy to simplify. In order to understand them, the reader mmust be able to look at the context. That is why each sentence needs to be very well constructed. The grammmar is more significant in many ways than the vocabulary, bbecause a person can look up a word in a dictionary, but they cannot decipher badly-written verbage.
Probelm: The creator of the Simple English list made a good attempt at providing terms that would serve in many different circumstances, including business, and daily life. But the list falls down in various areas. I keep nnoticing that very bbasic words used to describe the visual arts are completely missing from the list. "decoration" is one of the basic visual words that is missing, even though the word "decorate" is familiar to any child who has ever had a cake or a Christmas tree. If we follow the vocab exactly with no leeway for the subject with which we are dealing, then we can attack or adjust our tree, (and do various other things to it), but not "decorate" it. For this reason, a certain degree of common sense, and a good knowledge of ordinary spoken, non-jargonistic language is a very useful thing.
Please go through the article on Fra Angelico and make me a list of words or phrase that you find hard within the context. This means that you can't understand them even by reading the two sentences on either side.
If you would like to corrrecct my horrrible double letters and find the place where I frequently write "and" for "an" and "their" for "there", it would be much appreciated, because every time I look, I see another one. Amandajm (talk) 06:05, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

In regards to this edit and your votes on United States and Canada: what does it mean that "you agree with some of the points in the oppose section" and yet you vote support? Do you not realize that an article has to meet all of the criteria in order to be promoted? Or maybe you don't understand the responsibility involved in this voting process? Or maybe you're too stubborn to admit you made a mistake in proposing these articles? I'm really interested in knowing what possible reasoning you could have for supporting promotion of an article that fails 22% of the criteria. · Tygrrr... 03:14, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Your userbox shows that right now, you are approx 6 days short from reaching your 3 month milestone. By then, I think that you would have about 12k edits, which is enough edits to prove your activeness and hard work to this wiki. Although some people think otherwise from a past controversey which I assume would may not want to here again. Anyways, you have been nominated 3 times by now, the first two as self-nominations (me co-noming your 2nd RfA) while a third one was done unintentionally by Terry. I just wanted to bring this notice up to you so people don't like nominate you suddenly w/o your permission and that when you'd decide to run for adminship. --§ Snake311 (click here to chat) 04:24, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
