It went to number 1 in the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Ireland, Canada, the Netherlands and Norway, number 2 in Germany and South Africa, number 3 in Finland, number 7 in Zimbabwe, number 8 in Austria and number 10 in Belgium. In was covered by The Carpenters and their version went to number 54 in the United States.
