The Asphalt Jungle is a 1950 American crime movie directed by John Huston and was based on the 1949 novel of the same name by W.
R. Burnett. It stars Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern, Jean Hagen, James Whitmore, Marc Lawrence, Marilyn Monroe, Anthony Caruso, Barry Kelley and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was nominated for 4 Academy Awards in 1951.
