Steven Ronald Bochco (born December 16, 1943) was an American television producer and writer.
He created a number of popular television hits including Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Doogie Howser, M.D., and NYPD Blue. He also had unsuccessful series including Cop Rock. He won Emmy Awards for his writing in 1981 and 1987.
