Roger Eugene Ailes (May 15, 1940 – May 18, 2017) was a Republican political operative.
He worked for United States Presidents George H. W. Bush and Richard Nixon. He founded Fox News Network with Rupert Murdoch. He is the president of Fox News Channel. He was chairman of Fox Television Stations Group. Ailes became President of NBC's Cable News and Business Channel in 1993. While working for NBC, he created a cable talk channel called America's Talking in 1994. That channel later became MSNBC. In 1996 he left to join News Corporation, owned by Rupert Murdoch, and launch News Corporation's Fox News Channel. He is Chief Executive Officer of Fox News Network.
