Cnbc: American basic cable and satellite business news television channel

CNBC (Consumer News and Business Channel) is an American business television network.

It is owned and operated by NBC. It was started in 1980 as the "Satellite Program Network". NBC purchased it in 1989 and renamed it CNBC.
