A Nazi concentration camp was one of the death camps and labour camps operated by the Nazis during the Second World War throughout the occupied territories of the Third Reich for the imprisonment, enslavement and extermination of Jews and others that Nazi party considered undesirable.
These facilities were the culmination of the final solution that became the Holocaust. Most inmates were brought to the camps in cattle cars. Upon arrival, they were stripped of all possessions, made to undergo Selection (where the Nazis would determine who lives and who dies), had their hair cut off, etc. Conditions were extremely inhumane.
