Mario R. Ramil: American judge (1946-2017)

Mario R.

Ramil (June 21, 1946 – January 30, 2017) was an American judge. He served as an Associate Justice of the Hawaii State Supreme Court from 1993 to 2002. He was the second Filipino American to serve the position.

Ramil was born in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area when he was ten years old. He moved to Hawaii in 1975. He was married and had two children.

Ramil died from cancer on January 30, 2017 at the age of 70.
