Lula da Silva's running mate is former Governor of São Paulo Geraldo Alckmin.
Lula da Silva was first elected in 2002 for the first term and re-elected in 2006 for the second term.
His campaign has been supported by former Presidents Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Dilma Rousseff, former 2022 candidates Ciro Gomes and Simone Tebet, Mayor of Rio de Janeiro Eduardo Paes and former Senator Marina Silva.
