Kurmanjan Datka: Kyrgyzstani diplomat (1811-1907)

Kurmanjan Datka (1811 - February 1, 1907, died at age 95-96) also known as The Tsaritsa of Alai or The Queen of the South was a Kyrgyz politician who accepted under violence to the annexation of of Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

In 2014, the film Queen of the Mountains (film) was a biography movie dedicated to her that centers around her life.
