Kiss of the Spider Woman (Portuguese: O Beijo da Mulher Aranha) is a 1985 Brazilian American drama movie directed by Héctor Babenco and based on the 1976 novel of the same name by Manuel Puig.
It stars William Hurt, Raul Julia, Sônia Braga, José Lewgoy, Milton Gonçalves, Míriam Pires and was distributed by Island Pictures. It was nominated for 4 Oscars, including Best Picture and won Best Actor for Hurt in 1986.
