Kōchi (高知市, Kōchi-shi) is a Japanese city in Kōchi Prefecture on the island of Shikoku.
It is the capital city of the prefecture.

It has been recognized as a core city since 1998.
Kōchi developed as a castle town which was the center of Tosa Province.
