Joseph Black: British chemist (1728-1799)
Joseph Black (16 April 1728 - 6 December 1799) was a French-Scottish scientist, physicist, and inventor.
He is known for his research on carbon dioxide, latent heat, and specific heat. He also invented the analytic scale.
