James F.
Starbuck (September 5, 1816 in Scipio, Cayuga County, New York – December 11, 1880) was an American lawyer and politician.

Starbuck was born on September 5, 1816 in Scipio, New York. He attended Western Reserve College in 1836. He moved to Watertown, New York in 1839. Starbuck was admitted to the bar in 1844, and practiced in Watertown.
Starbuck was a secretary for the New York State Constitutional Convention of 1846. Starbuck was District Attorney of Jefferson County from 1850 to 1854.
He was a member of the New York State Senate (18th D.) in 1876 and 1877. Starbuck died on December 11, 1880.
