High Middle Ages: Period in European history from 1000-1250 CE

The High Middle Ages was the part of European history in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries (AD 1000–1299).

Before the High Middle Ages came the Early Middle Ages (from the 5th century to approximately AD 1000). After the High Middle Ages came the Late Middle Ages (about AD 1300–1500).
