Catcher Hal Smith: American baseball player (1931-2014)

Harold Raymond Hal Smith (June 1, 1931 – April 12, 2014) was an American Major League Baseball catcher.

He played for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1956 until 1961 and briefly for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1965. He was born in Barling, Arkansas.
